CONCLUSION
After analyzing these four cartoons, it was found that the depictions of what the EU, Europe
Commission, we perceived to be, were correct. Europe has really been struggling because of the influx of migrants from Syria, Afghanistan, and other countries of the world. These cartoons did a great job portraying what the Europeans are depicted to be. The migrants are portrayed as GIANT cartoons that are coming in and taking over everything. Their jobs and their lives. They are trying to better their lives and we do not give them any sympathy.
Europe is doing what they can with what they have, we'll give them that, but so are the refugees.
The story of Alan Kurdi the little boy that washed up on the shores of Turkey. His family was coming
over from Syria, trying to get away from the destruction and chaos of Syria. That cartoon played on the emotions. This is one of the main purposes and the importance of editorial cartoons. They go into a little bit more depth and detail of the things that they are going on in the world and also bring them to light.
